ELKOLEKT membership procedure

In order to become a member of ELKOLEKT, you need to be registered as a producer of electrical and electronic equipment in the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning in accordance with Article 14 of the Law on Extended Liability of the Manufacturer (Official Gazette of RSM No. 215/21).

If you are not yet registered in the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, you must do so before importing/placing for the first time electrical and electronic equipment in the Republic of North Macedonia. The registration for a manufacturer is done at the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning by submitting the following documents:

– Completed request for manufacturer registration in the Register of Extended Liability Manufacturers;

– Copy of current state issued by the Central registry; and

– Copy of payment slip for paid administrative fee

The producer has an obligation to register electronically on a separate website in accordance with the Regulation on the form and content of the request for registration of the producer, the form and content of the request for deletion from the register of producers with extended responsibility, the form and content of the register of producers with extended responsibility, the method of keeping and maintaining the register, as well as the form and content of the certificate of registration and the certificate of petition of the producer in the register of producers with extended responsibility (Official Gazette of RSM No. 58/22).

A member of ELKOLEKT DOO Skopje becomes a member by signing an Agreement for undertaking obligations for dealing with waste from electrical and electronic equipment.

4. The producer has an obligation to regularly pay compensation to ELKOLEKT DOO Skopje for the management of waste electrical and electronic equipment according to the price list for the current year which ELKOLEKT publishes on its website no later than November 15 in the current year for the next year.
