Awards were given to the three luckiest inhabitants of the municipality of Karpos, whose prize coupons were extracted on December 26th. Karposani participated in the prize game “Let’s Recycle and Get Reward” organized by Elkolekt which took place in the municipality of Karposh in parallel with the actions in Gevgelija, Berovo, Bogdanci and Gjorce Petrov.

Fana Hristovska, managing director of Elkolekt, said that she was satisfied with the result of the winning game and the cooperation with the municipalities, pointing out that this type of action is of paramount importance for education and awareness raising among the citizens on the need for waste selection with an emphasis on special waste streams such as electronic and electrical waste. She thanked the citizens of the five municipalities that participated in the prize game because they directly contributed to reducing the harmful impact on the environment and the health of people from this type of waste.

The representatives of the municipality stated that the effectiveness of this action is of great importance, bearing in mind that electrical and electronic waste contains hazardous materials harmful to human health and the environment. The cooperation with the company Elkolekt is a real pleasure. The Municipality of Karpos together with the company Elkolekt will continue the cooperation that is aimed at preserving the environment and health of our fellow citizens.

The drawing of the rewards was held at the Cinematheque of the Republic of Macedonia in the municipality of Karpos in front of a large audience and supervised by a three-member commission composed of two members from the municipality and one member from Elkolekt.

Through the prize games and socially responsible activities organized locally, the company Elkolekt wishes to thank the citizens who leave their electrical and electronic waste at the prescribed places, and at the same time to encourage the others to remove this type of waste from their domestic or business premises, reminding the necessity of preserving the environment and human health.
