Conference of the Association for management of special waste streams from Macedonia

On March 13, 2018, the Association for management of special waste streams organized a Conference on the topic “European experiences on the role of companies that manage special waste streams – now and in the future”. The conference was held in the premises of the Chamber of Commerce of Macedonia, with the participation of: the President of the Association for management of special waste streams, Mr. Filip Ivanovski who opened the conference. We were honored with a welcome speech by Mr. Zoran Sapuric, PhD, Minister without Portfolio in the Government of the Republic of Macedonia in charge of regulation for improving the investment climate for domestic enterprises, Mr. Jani Makraduli – Deputy Minister of Environment, Mr. Visar Ganiu – Vice President of ZELS and Mrs. Daniela Nelepa Dameska – President of MASWA.

At the conference entitled “European experiences on the role of companies that manage special waste streams – now and in the future”, contributed with presentations Ms. Biljana N. Milanoska – representative of the company AMC Computers, Ms Ana Karanfilova Maznevska – Head of waste department at the Ministry of Environment, Ms. Ursula Denison – Director General of Pro Europe Duales System Deutschland GmbH & Pro Europe, Mr. Petar Sikur – Operational Director of ECOCOM, Mr. Todor Boergojuziev – General Director of EKOPAK, Ms. Monika Romenska – PRPA Regulation and PR Manager – EkstendedProduser Responsibility Alliance and Mr. Vlado Momirovski – president of the Association of secondary raw materials.

Ms. Fana Hristovska – Vice President of the Association for Special Waste Streams as well as the Manager of the Collective Scheme for Electrical and Electronic Waste and Waste from Batteries and Accumulators ELKOLEKT DOO – Skopje, had a presentation on the topic: “Results and challenges of the existing companies for the management of special waste streams “. In her presentation, she presented the obligations, the functioning, the results and the challenges faced by the collective schemes as well as the proposals for improving their work. In our great satisfaction, a large number of representatives from the Directorate for Environment, Customs, Municipalities, Public Communal Enterprises, State Environmental Inspectorate and the Private Sector participated on the event. After the completion of all present exhibitors, a constructive discussion was developed that should bear fruit.
