"Electrical and electronic equipment" means equipment which correct operation depends on electric current or electromagnetic field, as well as equipment that is designed to produce, transfer and measure such currents or fields classified into one of the categories listed in the Law, and designed for use under voltage that is not greater than 1000 volts AC and 1500 volts DC.
Each year worldwide, the amount of WEEE is increased with accelerated pace, making this waste as the fastest growing. Million tons of WEE are discarded by households and companies.
The most common causes of this increase are new technologies and lifestyle where the old is replaced with the new.
We live in an era of rapid technologic development of the society. Some of the devices offered by the modern technology such as mobile phone, computer, camera or use of elevator in the building where people live or work are used on daily basis.
But like everything else these devices have their own life. At that point, it needs to have made the right decision and electrical and electronic appliances can be recycled.
